Why TRCS Needs Your Support
As a public charter school in the State of Oregon, TRCS receives less funding per child than traditional public schools, is faced with rising PERS costs, and TRCS does not receive state or local funding for facility-related expenses.
Funds raised during our 2019 auction from sponsors, donors, and supporters were used to update our math curriculum for grades 6th through 8th, upgrade classroom technology tools, provide opportunities for staff development, and make mortgage loan payments on our self-built facility that opened in April 2017. Thank you!
Annual fundraising is essential for TRCS to bridge the gap in public charter school funding so we can continue delivering our highly valued and regarded academic program. It is also an investment in our students and thus, our future.
Our 2020 Spring Auction fundraising goal of $75,000 will help to accomplish the following:
- Sustain our facility (maintenance, repairs, upgrades, septic, mortgage loan)
- Enhance and upgrade classroom curriculum and technology tools
- Provide staff development (including mental health and social awareness training)
